5 Truths About Salvation

As we continue our journey with Christ, let’s look at some truths Jesus discloses:

1. Salvation demands a heart of humility.

““Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.†

Luke 13:24 NIV

A heart of humility is surrendering to God’s will and allowing the Holy Spirit to lead you, not on your own works but a surrendered heart to God.

2. There is a time limit for the opportunity to receive salvation.

“Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, ‘Sir, open the door for us.’ “But he will answer, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.’†

Luke 13:25 NIV

No one is promised tomorrow. Seek God’s Kingdom while the opportunity is still open.

3. Being familiar with God and his teachings does not mean you are a Child of God.

““Then you will say, ‘We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.’ “But he will reply, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!’â€

Luke 13:26-27 NIV

An evildoer in God’s eyes are people who are disobedient to God’s teachings. Where can God’s teachings be found? The Bible is how we allow God to teach us.

4. Ignoring God’s invitation will have eternal consequences.

““There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves thrown out.â€

Luke 13:28 NIV

Not accepting Christ as the only Savior and making every effort to be obedient to God’s teaching will create an eternal separation from God.

5. Salvation is open to all who accept Jesus as their savior and become obedient to God’s teachings.

“People will come from east and west and north and south, and will take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God. Indeed, there are those who are last who will be first, and first who will be last.â€â€

Luke 13:29-30 NIV

This is why Children of God are here on Earth. We continually spread this message to others in our community and workplace.

Let’s continue to carry out God’s plan.

Best regards,
